EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Plan Materials

Overview

The EAP is a free, confidential service available to colleagues and their eligible family members. The EAP provides help with a variety of personal concerns and facilitates referrals to community resources when needed. This includes such things as day-to-day problems in living and coping, home and family issues, relationship issues, or general information or well-being.

Confidential Counseling

EAP counselors are all experienced, licensed professionals who have special training in employee assistance consultation. You and your eligible family member can contact the EAP directly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by calling (800) 999-7222.

Remember, EAP services are strictly confidential. Your discussions with a counselor are not disclosed to anyone without your written permission, unless required by law such as in the case of:

  • A court order or subpoena is issued
  • Suspected child or elder abuse
  • Threat or harm to self or other

Colleagues and their eligible family members are allowed up to three in-person EAP sessions per problem per six months. A "problem" is defined as any personal concern. If you are referred to outside resources, you will be advised about your costs, if any.

The EAP platform contains web-based tools and resources such as articles, checklists, webinars, podcasts, eLearning and Live CONNECT (instant messaging with a work-life specialist). Resources cover a wide range topics from new parenting advice to grief counseling to disaster preparedness and everything in between.
